The plastic oven chair

Esto no es una silla (This is not a chair) was born out of the concern for experimenting with new craft processes. It is focused on a prior study of plastic, in which its great potential is discovered. I export to the project the saying “Your future is on a garbage truck”, taken from the Modern Plastic journal, and I focus on waste as an opportunity. I propose local, small-scale recycling in which a wood-burning oven will be used for the trials to manufacture a sample product, a chair, which will allow me to open a door onto experimentation and the transformation of plastic at craft levels. The project has focused on the new trends in design and future, such as the open movements like Open Design, and the trends of producers such as Fab Lab, Do it yourself, etc. This is why all the information is shared via a website and an explanation is given of how it was done so that it can be reproduced.
